Quick answers about buying, selling and getting paid on AcrossMart.
AcrossMart is an online marketplace that brings buyers directly to sellers in Nigeria's physical markets. You tell us what you want, sellers send you offers with real photos and prices, and you pay only after you have inspected the product.
Download AcrossMart from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store using the links on our home page. Sign up with your phone number and email, verify both, and you are ready to buy. Selling is enabled from the Profile tab.
Anyone aged 18 or over. If you register on behalf of a business, you confirm that the business has authorised you to do so.
Yes for buyers. Sellers pay a 4% platform commission only when a sale is completed, plus optional paid advertising. There are no subscriptions or listing fees.
It is the unique code you receive once your payment is confirmed. AcrossMart holds your money until you give the code to the seller. Only give it when you have inspected the product and are satisfied. The seller enters it in their app, both of you are notified, and the money is released to the seller.
Before you pay, you see the seller's market and state. The store name, logo, address and phone numbers are shown on the order after your payment is confirmed.
Yes. Offers from the same store can be bundled into one order and paid for together.
You can collect from the seller yourself or send a family member, friend or delivery rider as your proxy. Any delivery fee is agreed between you and whoever delivers. Whoever inspects for you should only hand over the Acceptance Code when the product is right.
Do not release the code. Instead, choose Reject on the order in the app. Your payment is reversed to you automatically, exclusive of transfer charges. The same happens if the seller cancels because the item was sold before you arrived.
If the seller marked the offer as returnable, you have a 48-hour window from acceptance to open a dispute from the order screen. After that, the sale is final. Offers that are not returnable are final once you release the code, so check the returnability shown on each offer before you pay.
Through the secure checkout of our payment processor, using the option you prefer, such as card or bank transfer. AcrossMart receives only the details needed for the transaction and never asks for your card PIN or password.
Yes. Your payment is held by AcrossMart and released to the seller only when you give them your Order Acceptance Code. Until then, you can reject the order and get your money back.
If a transfer arrives short or over the amount due, the difference is returned to the account it came from and you are notified in the app. A short payment does not complete the order.
A rejection before you release the code is reversed automatically to your payment source, minus transfer charges. Where a dispute is settled in your favour, processing typically takes 5 to 14 business days after resolution. Any referral points you used are restored to your balance.
Yes. At checkout you can apply your available points to reduce the amount you pay. Points are restored if the order is rejected or refunded.
Open the Profile tab and choose Become a Seller. Register your store with its market, contact details and the bank account that will receive your payouts. Stores may be reviewed before they go live.
Buyers post requests for products in your categories. You send an offer with real photos of the item in your shop, your price, and whether it is returnable. You can also list products in your store catalogue, which buyers can browse and order from directly.
The moment you enter the buyer's Order Acceptance Code in your app, the sale is complete and the payout is sent to your registered bank account, less the 4% platform commission. Never hand over goods before you have entered the code.
Anything illegal, counterfeit, stolen or hazardous, firearms and explosives, live animals and meat, alcohol, and pharmaceutical drugs, among other prohibited items. The full list is in the Seller Terms. Listings that break the rules are taken down and can lead to a strike or suspension.
Yes. Invite up to nine staff from Staff Management. Each staff member receives an invitation code on WhatsApp, joins with their own account, and can send offers and complete sales for your store. You can pause or remove them at any time.
You can promote a listing so it appears across the app with a Sponsored badge, or submit a banner for the home slider. Fees are shown before you pay, ads run for the period you choose, and they are renewed manually rather than by subscription.
Share your referral code or link from the Profile tab. When someone signs up with it, you earn points on their completed orders: 1% of the purchase value when a buyer you referred buys, and 2% of every sale a seller you referred makes. There is no limit to how many people you can refer.
Unused points expire at the end of each year, so spend them on your purchases before then.
Tap Forgot password on the sign-in screen. We send a one-time code to your phone or email, and you set a new password.
From the Profile tab, choose Change Phone Number or Change Email. A verification code is sent to the new contact before the change takes effect.
Choose Delete Account at the bottom of the Profile tab. Personal data is removed within 90 days, except records we must keep by law. See our Privacy Policy.
No. We never ask for your password, card PIN or Order Acceptance Code by phone, chat or email. Treat any such request as fraud and report it to us.
Complete the partnership application with your company details, the vehicles you operate, the states you cover, your bank account and your CAC and director documents. We review every application and let you know the outcome.
Partners collect and deliver products as the buyer's proxy. They inspect on the buyer's behalf and relay the Order Acceptance Code to the seller only when the buyer says so. The Delivery Partner Terms set out the rules.
